While we have AI/ML seen to invade a lot of isolated functions in the RAN, a truly AI-integrated RAN is still elusive. We anticipate potential novel instability phenomena and muse how to keep them at bay. We want to assess the state of the art and discuss elementary cost-benefit questions. 6G Conference: Multi-Level Network Digital Twin – Concept, Loops, Details

The Network Digital Twin (NDT) is faced with the challenge that different abstractions are needed for different use cases. No single, monolithic system can ever combine the requirements with respect to scalability, accuracy, and efficiency. We have developed a scalable multi-level NDT with an inherent “zoom” functionality. We present concept, development progress and first applications.
